My Advice

Will you follow my advice
And wash-up before meals
Use the right knife and fork
Avoid counting chickens before they hatch
And are at least two months old

I am full of words of wisdom like that
Tip when you plan on coming back
Sneak out when you don’t
Never look a cop in the eye
Prepare to duck if you do
#
Some of this you will follow
Always carry an umbrella no matter the weather
Some of it you will not
Keep a note in your sock, in case your wallet’s stolen
And you need to get home
#
But the most important piece of advice
Is stay away from her
But you won’t follow that
Because If I had followed that one
I wouldn’t have you to give my advice to
