The shallow waters have an unexpected depth,
Though they seem safe, the sands can give way to the unwary traveller
What seems solid may not be
An innocuous step, turning to a trap,
Dragging down it’s victim, to death, to oblivion.
It is the wise traveller who thinks of every step
Who watches, who learns, who prepares
Who then can find their way, through the shallows,
On their way to the oft cited but seldom reached goal.
