Wordless, yet shouting and undeniable
Impossible to set aside and ignore
The epitome of forceful expectation
What can I do with this?
I am too weak to hope to hold-out against you
To think I can continue as if you are not there
You are too much in my face for that
Far too visible
Refusing to let it go quietly
I haven’t a hope
And I didn’t expect one
A man should know when he is defeated
Knows when he is beaten
So as not to prolong the torture
Take defeat with grace and dignity
Give the victor what she wants.
