I spend my cold lonely nights
Eyes kept open by the neon liquor store sign outside
Looking at the cracks in the ceiling
Looking and seeing things that were
And things that had never been
Seeing me applying for that job
Travelling the world
Finding my feet, reaching my dream
The success, the house, the children
I look back to you, down on one knee, ring in your hand
And I imagine all that could have happened
All that might have been
If I said no.
