Little lost student
by joetwo
There in the lab
On a Wednesday Morning
I heard a loud crash
And a shout of warning
#
I raise my head
And I see smoke
“He’s done it again
This is a real joke!”
#
He is a young student
Just a fourth year
Empty of mind
And drunken with beer
#
We figured it quick
So he’d not hurt himself
Just to give him the save stuff
On his own little shelf
#
But somehow this moron
Started a fire
With years of work
Lost to the pyre
#
But we put it out
A lot we did save
But we then had to deal
With this undergrad knave
#
Our sentence was humane
Got him out of the lab
To endanger others
Which we thought was fab
*smiles* π Love this poem, Joe. The title reminds me of another one you wrote called Little Lost Taximan. This needs to be published, Joe. Love your work. π
But you were an undergrad once too…We all were…Those days…*memories* 8) (some good and some bad)
But seriously, this is a great poem, Joe. I really enjoy your writing.
That 8) up there is a typo…should be π …or π …
Seriously, the amount of damage I did as an undergrad is insane! Thousands of Euros worth! Who says I wasn’t talking about myself? π
Hahahhhh… that was funny, Joe…
Though, if it were real it would not be so funny…!
Well more darkly funny at best!
Oops a diddly! A lab no place for this one π
Indeed!
