Narrow country roads
Eighty kilometer speeds
Is total madness
Political news
Seanad votes abolition
Turkeys for christmas
Warm weather is gone
Heavy rain and thunder now
More traditional

Love the final one. My ancestors came to Australia from Ireland in the 1800s. Every time I visited Ireland I experienced a sense of coming home, I think it’s why winter is my favourite season, and why I loath the heat of the Australian summer.
The final haiku made me smile as I remembered walking in the cold and rain, revelling in the beauty of the green Irish countryside.
I think the rain is our dues for living in such a beautiful country.
