Not Done
by joetwo
The battle is over
We have lost
Ungraciously at first
But the war is not over
There is much to fight over
More ground to defend
And defend it we shall
To the last man
With our last breath
Through fair means
And foul
We still have fight in us
While we stand we shall resist
Remember that always
You may have won the battle
But we are not done yet
Such strength in the last few lines!
Thanks Christy!
and when shall we?
finish I mean?
I think it is when they “Wrench the last breath from our lungs” or something like that. Thanks for reading!
aie!
that sounds painful.
Covers everything from Hannibal to Hurling splendidly. Commendable Joe.
Hurling and war are one in the same! Thanks for reading!
Powerful words, Joe!
Thanks Lauren!
